What a bite is

A bite is about 40 to 60 words on reporting by other outlets. DailyReport is not the original publisher. Editors decide what is published. A bite can drop context, and it can be wrong.

The trust score

The score shows how widely independent outlets report the same thing. It is not a fact-check and not a ruling on what is true. It is not a decision about you.

How to ask

Email [email protected] with the subject "DailyReport correction". Include the headline or a link, what is wrong, and the correction you want. If the bite names you, say so.

What we may do

We may correct, update, or remove the bite, or leave it and tell you why. We do not promise to publish every complaint. Copyright and other legal notices belong on the copyright page.

The original

The outlet named on the card published the underlying story. Correcting a bite does not correct that outlet. Bites are not financial, medical, or legal advice.
