Refund Policy

Last updated: 4 October 2026

1. What this covers

This policy covers both DailyReport Plus plans on the Android app observer.dailyreport.app: monthly (plus_monthly) and yearly (plus_yearly). Both are sold by Google Play, not by a card form on this website. The same rule applies to each of them. It sits alongside our Terms of Service.

2. Free reading

The free app does not charge you. There is nothing to refund for reading, trust scores, or an account you never paid for.

3. Plus purchases are final

DailyReport does not refund either plan. The monthly plan is paid up front for that month. The yearly plan is paid up front for that year. Once either purchase succeeds, we do not return the fee, split a year into monthly credits, refund unused months on the yearly plan, or move the payment to another person or another store account.

Buying monthly or yearly Plus means you have asked for immediate access to paid features (such as fewer ads, digest, offline pack, and extra feeds). That access starts when Google Play confirms the purchase.

4. Cancelling is not a refund

You can cancel renewal of the monthly plan or the yearly plan at any time in Google Play subscriptions. Cancellation stops the next charge, whether that charge would have been another month or another year. It does not refund the month or the year you already paid for. Plus stays on that phone until that paid period ends, then it stops. Switching from monthly to yearly, or from yearly to monthly, does not refund the period already paid.

Deleting the app, signing out, or switching phones does not cancel Plus and does not create a refund. Restore purchases on the new phone with the same Google account.

5. Google Play still bills you

Google Play charges your payment method, stores the receipt, and decides renewals. DailyReport never sees your card number and cannot reverse a Play charge from our side.

Play may still review a refund request under Google’s own rules. That decision is Google’s, not ours. If Play refunds a purchase, Plus for that purchase ends when Play tells us the payment was reversed.

6. What we do not refund

We do not refund because:

  • you changed your mind after buying;
  • you did not open the app, or you used only part of a month or part of a year;
  • you expected a different set of stories, sources, or scores;
  • a price or benefit changes for a later period, not the one already paid;
  • you forgot to cancel before a monthly or yearly renewal.

7. A charge that looks wrong

If you were charged twice for the same month or the same year, or charged after you had already cancelled renewal, write to [email protected] with the Google account email and the Play order number. We will help you point that at the Play order. We still cannot move the money ourselves.

8. Where the law says otherwise

Nothing in this policy takes away a refund right that the law where you live does not allow us to refuse. If that right applies, it applies only to the extent the law requires.
