Delete your data

1. Overview

This page lets you request deletion of personal data associated with DailyReport (package observer.dailyreport.app), as required for Google Play listings. See also our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Deletion is permanent for data we control. We may retain limited records when required by law (for example fraud, tax, or dispute records) in de-identified or restricted form.

2. What we delete

When we verify your request, we delete or de-identify:

  • Your sign-in record on our servers (email address, sign-in method, account ID);
  • Settings and lists stored under your reader or account ID (region, language, theme, saved and read stories, likes, dismissals, source choices, custom RSS feeds);
  • The yes or no we store for whether your ID has Plus (Google Play and RevenueCat remain the source of truth for billing history).

We cannot reliably find these, so we may be unable to delete them:

  • Your push token, if Story alerts are on. Turning alerts off or signing out in the App deletes it. It is not linked to your reader ID or account on our servers, so if you ask us to delete it we may not be able to find it.
  • Settings of a reader who never signed in, unless you can give us the reader ID. They are removed automatically about a year after the last change.

We do not control:

  • Data held solely by Google (Sign-In, Play purchase history, AdMob advertising identifiers, Firebase, YouTube, Google Fonts) or by RevenueCat and Resend;
  • Publisher websites you open from story links;
  • Local data remaining on a device until you clear app storage or uninstall.

3. How to request

  1. To wipe only what is on your phone: sign out in the App, then clear app data or uninstall. This does not delete anything on our servers.
  2. For account & server data: submit the form below (opens your email app) or write to [email protected] with subject DailyReport data deletion request.
  3. Include the email you signed in with (and the Play order ID if you bought Plus), so we can verify ownership. The App has no delete button, so a request by email is the only way.

4. Request form

Submitting opens your mail app with a pre-filled message. Nothing is stored on this page.

5. Timeline

We aim to acknowledge requests within 7 days and complete deletion within 30 days of verification, sooner when practical. You will receive a confirmation email when done (or if we need more information).

6. Google Play subscriptions

Deleting DailyReport account data does not automatically cancel a Plus subscription billed by Google Play. Cancel in Play subscriptions (or Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions) to stop renewals. Refunds follow Google Play policy.
